Founded in 1900, “O PolÃcia†is now one of the oldest restaurants in Lisbon.
In its early days, O PolÃcia was just an eating-house but, today, it is in its fourth generation. Teotónio Lázaro Miranda was the founder who, in the late nineteenth century, decided to switch the police uniform for an apron. Today, his great-granddaughters Cristina and Teresa Miranda are leading the business.
In O PolÃcia we provide our customers with a century-old kitchen that reveals a strong tradition and knowledge of Portuguese flavours. We favour fresh products, starting with our carefully selected fish.
